Two Heartbeats

I carried two heartbeats beneath my own,
Two tiny souls I’d never known.
They danced in silence, side by side,
Growing safely deep inside.

One arrived with morning’s light,
The other fought with all her might.
A winding path, not as we’d planned,
But love still held each little hand.

Now laughter fills the quiet air,
Tiny smiles beyond compare.
The sleepless nights, the endless days,
Are wrapped in love a thousand ways.

They’ll never know the strength it took,
The tears that filled each unseen look.
They’ll only know that every day,
Their mama never walked away.

Two little girls, one endless song,
Proof that love can make us strong.
And every beat my heart will keep,
Belongs to them, forever deep.
