I write from the place where hurt and hope coexist—the space between bruises and blooms.
About This Space
I’m Chynna-Jayde, and Between Bruises & Blooms is where I keep the pieces of life that refuse to stay quiet.
Most of what lives here begins as poetry, but the site has grown into something bigger than a single collection. It holds motherhood and grief, love and heartbreak, healing and mental health, books, nature, family, dark folklore, cannabis reflection, memory, desire, and the ordinary moments that somehow become the ones worth keeping.
Why Between Bruises & Blooms?
Because life rarely gives us one thing at a time.
We can be grieving and grateful. Healing and furious. Exhausted and deeply in love with the life in front of us. We can carry what hurt us without allowing it to become the only thing we are.
The bruises matter here. So do the blooms.
How the Library Works
The site is organized into collections, each with its own mood, themes, and smaller rooms to wander through. Start with the full poetry directory, or enter whichever part of the library feels closest to where you are today.
A Note Before You Wander
Some collections hold difficult subjects. Others are soft, strange, romantic, funny, haunted, or painfully ordinary. I write them as honestly as I can, without sanding every rough edge into something easier to look at.
If something here makes you feel less alone, then the words found the right person.
