The older cat
teaches
without speaking.
She teaches
through patience,
through pins,
through gentle bites
that say,
“This is too hard.”
“That was rude.”
“Stop biting my tail.”
“You are lucky you’re cute.”
The kitten,
meanwhile,
takes furious notes
by ignoring
every single lesson.
