Nobody handed us
matching blood.
Nobody signed papers.
Nobody told us
we belonged to one another.
It just happened.
Somewhere
between laughter,
heartbreak,
birthdays,
tears,
and ordinary Tuesdays,
friend
became family.
And family
became home.
A poetry library for the things that bruise us, the things that bloom anyway, and everything we become in between.
Nobody handed us
matching blood.
Nobody signed papers.
Nobody told us
we belonged to one another.
It just happened.
Somewhere
between laughter,
heartbreak,
birthdays,
tears,
and ordinary Tuesdays,
friend
became family.
And family
became home.
