Embers

Your glance arrives like evening rain,
Soft enough to calm the fire,
Warm enough to wake the spark
Of every quiet, hidden desire.

You move as though the moon itself
Has taught your heartbeat how to dance;
I lose whole conversations
Inside the silence of your glance.

The space between us hums with heat,
A promise neither dares to name.
Two souls suspended in a breath,
Two hearts alight with the same flame.

No hurried words, no need to speak—
The night already understands.
Love is written in the waiting,
In lingering eyes and reaching hands.

And if the dawn should find us there,
Wrapped in light both fierce and kind,
It will know that longing bloomed
Long before our lips aligned.
