There is a house that cannot be found on any map.
You arrive there only after giving up the need to know what comes next.
Hekate waits where the roads divide, not to choose for you,
but to ask,
“Which version of yourself are you finally ready to become?”
The night offers no answer.
Only stars.
Only silence.
Only the sound of your own heartbeat echoing through the trees.
So you keep walking until you find a small cabin lit by candlelight.
Inside,
the kettle sings.
A black cat guards the windowsill.
Blankets smell of cedar, old books, and rain.
No one asks why you are tired.
No one asks what broke you.
This place already knows.
It has welcomed every wandering soul who mistook being lost for being alone.
Tomorrow,
the crossroads will still be waiting.
The unknown will still stretch beyond the trees.
But tonight,
you are allowed to rest.
Because even witches, wanderers, and weary hearts
deserve a sanctuary.

There is something so peaceful about your poems. I read them and think to myself, ahh of course this is how it is. I’m especially enchanted by how you invoke the gods, but they wait, quietly, patiently, gently for us to walk over.
